Fluid & Metering Technologies systems are used in a wide variety of severe duty and/or highly precise fluid-handling applications around the world. Customized solutions range from diesel engine lubrication to food and beverage processing to the movement, measurement and dispense of fossil fuels, ethanol and other high value liquids and gases. With some of the most recognized brand names in positive displacement pumps, flow meters, compressors and injectors, to be a supplier of choice within the rapidly growing infrastructure markets including alternative energy, oil & gas, water and wastewater.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

  1. Accountable for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing lean manufacturing and defect reduction concepts.?
  2. Responsible for root cause, corrective action on all processes and work instruction related issues. Creation of new manufacturing process and modification of existing manufacturing processes to suit business needs.
  3. Also manages all manufacturing engineering documents and ensures document control.
  4. Responsible for new project transfer and management.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Basic Job Description:
  2. Analyze statistical data and product specification to determine standards and establish together with product designers (BUs) the quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
  3. Collaborate with process engineering to plan and establish sequence of operations and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
  4. Coordinate quality control objectives, and plan, and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  5. Performing trouble shooting on product and remedy to the root cause.
  6. Provide training and direct workers engaged in product assembly, measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability of product.
  7. Oversee the recording of product engineering information to ensure currency of engineering drawings and documentation. E.g. ECN, Revision of drawings and BOM. Etc.
  8. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and test equipment and criteria, and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
  9. Collaborates with process engineering in composing product related documentation and verify integrity and up dating.
  10. Perform regular cost study over new products and current products, and recommend, initiate methods to conduct CIP to maximize efficiency at minimum cost.
  11. Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts.
  12. Specific Job Description:
  13. Confer with vendors, design engineer (BUs) and staff personnel regarding product specification, manufacturing capability and transfer project status.
  14. Specify system components or direct modification of parts or products to ensure conforming to engineering design and performance specification.
  15. Recommend design modification to cope with manufacturing capability and regulation.
  16. Liaise and communicate with customers on field returns, complaints and specific requirement and confer with design engineering or BUs.
  17. Coordinates, oversee and responsible for new product transfer time table and schedule and verification of technical issues and liaise with BUs.
  18. Monitor and oversee new product line or alternated product line set up conforming to required standard.
  19. Provide feedbacks to design engineer (BUs) on supplier/ customer problems and need.
  20. Read , interpret and verify blue prints, technical drawings, schematics and provide support to sourcing personnel and supplier.
  21. Recommend design alteration or modification to design engineer (BUs) to eliminate possible risk upon quality, assembly, manufacturing capability and safety.
  22. Coordinate process and responsible for parts or product sample approval and its OTD.
  23. Accountable for new product implementation OTD

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Technical
  2. Strong mechanical background
  3. Strong project management skills and ability to lead a team
  4. Vast experience in lean manufacturing with ability to implement ideas in new environments.
  5. Educational
  6. Bachelor¡¯s Degree in Engineering, and/or similar discipline.
  7. Professional
  8. >5 years demonstrated manufacturing engineering experience in pump industry.
  9. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in project management
  10. Six Sigma experience a plus.
