Green technology will generate engineering jobs

A United Nations (UN) report has predicted that the development of environmental technology will create millions of engineering jobs in the coming years, according to reports. In a study entitled 'Green Jobs: Towards Decent Work in a Sustainable, Low-Carbon World,' the UN suggests that up to 20 million engineering jobs could be made available globally if countries adopt green policies.

Less Carbon, More Jobs

The company’s SIPs help conserve energy by reducing the flow of air from the inside to the outside in both hot and cold temperatures. Foard Panel’s SIPs have a dual function in that they provide insulation and can also be used for structural applications. The panels have a high load-bearing capacity and can be used as walls and roofs in building construction.

Preparing the Workforce for a “Green Jobs” Economy

Green jobs can be broadly defined as jobs that involve protecting wildlife or ecosystems, reducing pollution or waste, or reducing energy usage and lowering carbon emissions. Green jobs in America’s energy economy are concentrated in the energy efficiency (EE) sector, with growth also expected in the renewable energy (RE) sector.
